Floyd's father, Glen Yoder, received Christ as his Savior while living an old-order Amish life. When Pastor Floyd was 3 years old, multiple families left the darkness of the Amish religion. A local Baptist minister began to disciple them after most were born again and baptized by his spiritual direction.
Glen Yoder accepted the pastorate at another Baptist church nearby. Pastor Floyd was able to grow up in a godly christian home by parents that have continued to reflect the attributes of Christ during many trying times.
Pastor Floyd went to Fairhaven Baptist Bible college for one year with intent. At that time, he was not called to a specific ministry, but headed to the counseling of godly men.
Krista and Floyd Yoder were married on Nov. 14, 2003, and ministered in Pastor Glen Yoder's church for 9 months until the Lord clearly directed them to move. He served as a youth director for 9 years at First Baptist Church, Versailles, IL. where Bro. Floyd was ordained to "Pastor Floyd."
In 2013, the Lord opened up the door to move his growing family of 5 to Westwood Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, FL. for another 9 years as an Asst. Pastor/Youth Pastor under Pastor Greg Hill.
August of 2021, Bro. Floyd began seeing the Lord stir his heart for the senior pastorate, and after much prayer, counsel, and consent by Pastor Hill, he traded Florida for Kansas on November 14, 2022. Ever since Bro. Floyd heard Hillcrest Bible Baptist Church was in need of a pastor, a great burden and concern began to knit his heart to them. Praise the Lord for His specific workings...it is marvelous in our eyes. Pastor Floyd and Mrs. Krista have five children who are living blessings from the Lord.
